Love

John 17:23 I in them and You in Me, all being perfected into one. Then the world will know that You sent Me and will understand that You love them as much as You love Me.

Now that is powerful. Realize that Christ is in you and you are being perfected and that God loves you as much as He loves Christ.

In Matthew Chapter 13 The word tells the story about the farmer scattering seed. We are given 4 examples of what happens to the seed.

1. The seed is eaten by the birds before it can take root. The people hear the Good news but do not understand it.

2. The seed sprang up quickly but died without nourishment. The people received the message but as soon as problems happen they turn away. No maturity.

3. The seed that fell among the thorns. The people hear and accept the Good News but quickly turn away for the cares of life and wealth.

4. The seed that fell in fertile soil and produced a crop. The people that truly accept God's message and produce a huge harvest.

It is the same farmer and the same seed the only difference is the people hearing the messge. Do we truly listen or do we simply go thru the motions? In order to truly hear Him we need to be quiet and listen and do as instructed. We must experience this firsthand. Listening to a pastor, minister, preacher, priest or whatever title they have is fine but cannot take the place of hearing our God speaking directly to us.

If the example of the seed was a statistic it would mean 3 out 4 people do not hear God. That would explain the condition of the world today. How long would you be at your job if you only did 25% of what your boss told you? How long would you be married if you loved your spouse only 25% of the time?

Let Him who has ears hear. He spoke these words several times for a reason. We must listen to Him and really hear Him. He wants a relationship with us. He told us that He loves us. What more could we possibly need in life.

He is the way the Truth and the Life no one comes to the Father except thru Him.
