Change

I was thinking tonight about the way "church" service changes people. Do you see the average person leaving a service excited about an experience with God? I am only talking about the average person. There is always people on both extremes.

If you received a phone call that the President wanted to talk to you how would you react? Even if it was Obama. You would be excited, you would be thinking about what to ask him, how you should dress, you would get a good nights rest, etc. You would leave the meeting changed, you would probably change the way you thought of him.

My daughter Xantiana has been taking Tae Kwon Do classes for almost 9 years and just received her 3rd degree black belt. She has a master instructor that she respects alot. Whenever he tells her that he needs to talk to her she gets all nervous. She does not know what to expect. A couple times he had to talk to her because she did something she should not of done. Most of the time it is to tell her something really good like he thinks she is ready for the next level of testing. She always walks away changed. Always for the better. She has learned to allow the master in Tae Kwon Do to change her because he knows more than her.

We all have a Master that loves us the way we are but wants to change us to be like Yeshua (Christ). I remember reading in John that Yeshua went up a mountain and met Moses and Elijah. A cloud bright as light came over them. God changed Yeshuas face to be bright like a light. God changed the way Yeshua looked Yeshua let Him make the change. Then God said this was His Son that He was pleased with and we should listen to Him.

So do you allow Him to change you? Do you come to worship our Master prepared to be changed? How do you prepare? Good nights sleep, pray before hand, read His word. Are you changed or do you just show up and leave the same as you came in? Show up early watch everyone go in and watch the during the service and then watch them leave. If you are not changed by Him did you really experience Him?
